We were immediately impressed by the Soul Soul Benny. Stunningly presented, the eggs benedict sat sandwiched within two halves of a croissant. The creamy hollandaise was liberally applied on two perfectly poached runny eggs, which sat on top of aptly fatty slices of thick cut pork belly. The juicy and flavourful sensation from the balance of lean and fat was absolutely delicious, and the juices were perfectly soaked up by the crisp, flakey croissant with a buttery inner.
The Lambwich certainly didn’t disappoint either. The vibrant colours made way for a flavourful combination of goodness. Starting with the lamb which was incredibly tender and cooked to perfect juiciness, simply melting away in your mouth. This was nicely juxtaposed by the fresh and zesty herb salad that cut right through the heavier bits of the dish. Combined with an earthy beetroot relish and the aromatic dukkha spices, this was one dish that continued to deliver on flavour bite after bite.
Situated between tall apartments in the heart of the CBD, Soul Soul offers a reprieve from the hustle and bustle with it’s green and tranquil surrounds that’s perfect for a break.
The food of course was top notch, utilising quality ingredients that was well executed. We certainly couldn’t have asked for more!
