The Good
We were immediately impressed by the stunning Smashed Avo. Gorgeously presented and decorated with plenty of dukkah, the crispy kale stood tall on top of a mountain of smashed avo. The fresh avocado was creamy and flavoursome, which was nicely accompanied by hints of chilli that added heat, and creaminess thanks to the feta. With various seeds and dukkah spice adding much aroma and flavours, this was no ordinary avo on toast!
The Smokey Beef Burger was also a favourite. Sandwiched between the two vibrant red buns, the smashed beef patty exhibited a nicely charred outer that enclosed an inner that was juicy and tender. The beefy flavours were forward and bold, delivering a strong flavour that was beautifully matched with lovely smoked cheddar cheese that melted on top. Coupled with their house made, slightly spicy “South Sauce” as well as the sweet caramelised onion, this was one burger that delivered a full flavour hit.
We rounded off our meal with the very decadent Sticky Fudge Nutella Pancakes. Stacked two-high and topped with a generous helping of fairy floss, this stack of hotcakes were a sight to behold! The hotcakes were soft and spongy, with a slightly crispy outer, suitably moist within and had a hint of bouncy feedback. This of course served as the perfect vehicle to mop up the abundance of Nutella and sticky fudge that was liberally applied on this very rich dish. Rounding it off was a scoop of ice cream accompanied with some berries that added a hint of freshness. This is bound to satisfy any sweet tooth.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
