The Good
We were off to an impressive start thanks to the beautifully presented Smoothies. Our Peanut Banana Smoothie was beautifully thick, sporting plenty of peanut butter that generously coated the jar. This was coupled with a nice, thick milkshake that definitely had plenty of banana thrown in. Well balanced in sweet and savoury, this smoothie went down a treat!
The Berry Shake was tasty and refreshing. With an abundance of berries mixed within, the fresh, berry flavour was forward and well complemented by the thick creamy milk. The hint of added sweetness thanks to the honey worked a treat too.
The Super Salad was a stunning sight to behold. Served warm in a bowl, the salad featured a generously sized, lightly seared piece of salmon with crispy skin and tender protein. Underneath was a bed of soft, fluffy lentils cooked just right, lightly spiced and well accompanied by the sweetness of soft, mushy roast sweet potatoes. Sitting alongside featured all things healthy, including fresh wilted spinach, juicy cherry tomatoes and a generous heap of smashed avo.
Another highlight must be the Vegan Burrito Bowl. The plentiful cubes of marinated tofu within were simply perfect, so soft and delicate yet fried with a slightly crisp outer. This was well accompanied by a wholesome serve of Mexican rice and soft and earthy black beans. With a sweet and tangy tomato salsa and a refreshing guacamole complementing the satisfying crunch of corn chips, this vegan bowl felt wholesome and satisfying without comprising on flavour.
The Mediocre
We rounded off the meal on a sweet note thanks to the Nutella Waffles. The presentation was absolutely stunning, featuring a stack of two waffles topped with ice cream and a wafer. Alongside sat a smear of Nutella and freshly sliced strawberries, offering both richness and sweetness to the dish. The waffles themselves however weren’t overly impressive and is akin to a premium, though store bought variety that we’ve had many times before.
The Bad
Nothing.
