The crust was very nice and flakey. Exactly the same as what you’d get in France. Very impressed with this.
The insides weren’t as nice as France unfortunately. It just wasn’t buttery, fluffy or soft enough. Yes it had all those qualities, but just not to the extent that you get from an authentic French bakery.
Would be nice if they heated it up or fresh out of the oven. Staff needs more training on how to use the EFTPOS machine… Seriously.
A decent attempt at an authentic French pastry. I would say it’s among one of the best in Melbourne.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
I guess so. I do crave the ones from France though.
