The Good
Not too much to say except ingredients were mostly fresh and both pastas were cooked fresh. They also didn’t skimp on ingredients either which is a plus.
The Mediocre
Everything else about this meal was mediocre.
Both pastas were actually cooked well (being not over or undercooked). However it lacked any flavours that made the dishes stand out, with the fettuccine overly bland and the risotto too salty. Ultimately, both pastas seemed like something one could cook up at home.
The Bad
As mentioned above, risotto was too salty. Contrasted with the bland fettuccine made it even worse.
Also had to ask for bread rolls to be provided (they used to give it out right after you order without asking).
The Verdict
Definitely not a remarkable meal. However it wasn’t in any way bad either.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
At that price? Probably not. There just isn’t enough value added to justify for that kind of price tag.
